I am not exactly sure how to describe crafting with polymer clay. I used to feel that working with polymer clay is like baking bread. There is a fair bit of kneading, rolling, shaping and mixing. Polymer clay is also cured in an oven just like baking bread. Then as I get to craft more with clay, I now feel that clay is like a colouring medium. I can 'draw and paint' with clay, very much like coloring pencils and paint.
The dish is a blank canvas and it is up to use to create our own masterpieces on it. Here are a couple of Marimekko-inspired dishes that I have thoroughly enjoyed making.
